The Masks We Wear

This is a new talk that I have developed which I presented at recent year-end corporate function:

Everyone wears masks every day. We wear them in different situations and with different people. Masks serve a purpose: satisfying human needs and wants. Masks can help us get much, but masks are always removed for the true selves we are. “The Masks We Wear” is an inspiring presentation of identifying the masks and pretentions that most of us wear. Anil’s manner of engaging his audience through a journey a self awareness, empathy and consideration, with humour and sensible principles will leave audiences inspired to live with authenticity.

By the end of the talk, participants would be able:

  • Recognise their personal external and internal ‘masks’
  • Consider the effects of basing self worth on things outside our true selves
  • Learn key lessons to appreciate the differences in others
  • Plan simple steps to being real, being effective and being our best

Key Themes:

  • External and Internal Security
  • Authenticity
  • 7 Types of External Masks
  • Personality and Behavioural Traits
  • Empathy
  • Self Worth and Human Motivation
  • 5 Step Formula for developing Self Worth

Method of Presentation: Speaking, PPT presentation slides, Audio/ Visual clips, Handouts, High level participation, laptop and data projector
